Putin Advocates for Multipolar World Order, Urges Negotiated End to Ukraine Conflict

by admin477351

Russian President Vladimir Putin has advocated for the establishment of a more stable multipolar world order, arguing that the current global security crisis is exacerbated by bloc confrontations and the pursuit of unilateral security benefits by certain countries. Speaking at the 23rd annual Valdai Discussion Club meeting, Putin emphasized that the conflict in Ukraine should be resolved through compromise and negotiations rather than the defeat of either side, with a preference for Ukraine to remain neutral post-conflict.

Putin suggested that the former unipolar international system is transitioning to a multipolar framework and called for enhanced cooperation that respects the interests of various nations. He affirmed Russia’s readiness to collaborate with other countries to build a more stable international system.

In a separate development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the inaugural combat use of Ukraine’s domestically developed FP-7 tactical ballistic missile. Although Zelenskyy did not specify the location or target of the missile deployment, he mentioned that Ukraine is advancing towards its production.
