by admin477351

LG Electronics is steering its focus towards robotic actuators and business-to-business appliances as key growth sectors. The company is gearing up for potential large-scale orders from global tech giants, having developed actuators that are lighter, more efficient, and competitively priced. Discussions are underway with several major technology firms, and LG anticipates securing its first significant order soon.

Earlier this year, LG introduced the LG Axium actuator brand, leveraging its expertise in motors, drive controls, and component design honed through its home appliance business. The company aims to set up a fully automated actuator production line at its Changwon facility by the end of the year. With the expected rise in actuator demand, notably from the physical AI and humanoid robotics sectors by 2030, LG plans to deploy humanoid robots at its Tennessee plant and Changwon smart factory, with eventual plans for household applications as safety technology advances.

Concurrently, LG is enhancing its business-to-business appliance division. Over the past three years, its built-in appliance and commercial laundry segments have each seen annual revenue growth exceeding 40%. In Europe, the company is expanding its specialized sales team, boosting premium built-in brands, and aims to increase product displays to 3,000 outlets by year-end.

In a bid to fortify its commercial laundry business, LG is introducing larger-capacity machines and strengthening partnerships across Southeast Asia. The company is also promoting high-efficiency appliances in Europe as part of its ambition to become the leading home appliance provider in the region by 2030.
