Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of enlisting citizens from 47 different countries to bolster its military efforts in Ukraine. During remarks at the United Nations, Zelensky highlighted the involvement of individuals from nations such as Ghana, Nepal, and India in the ongoing conflict.
Zelensky further alleged that two North Korean soldiers captured while fighting for Russia have been transferred to South Korea, underscoring Russia’s increasing military collaboration with North Korea. He warned that Moscow is persistently seeking additional manpower and resources to support its military campaign.
In response to these developments, Ukraine is reportedly expanding its cooperation with international partners in drone technology. Zelensky announced that Kyiv has signed agreements related to drones with Finland and Australia and is working towards a similar pact with Canada.
The Ukrainian president also addressed potential retaliatory measures should Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure persist. He warned that Ukraine might target Russian heating and energy facilities during the upcoming winter, aiming to diminish Moscow’s war revenues rather than disrupt civilian fuel supplies. This statement comes as the United States encourages both Russia and Ukraine to avoid targeting each other’s energy infrastructure.
